Dear Friends & Neighbors:

I am running for the Alaska State Senate, serving the residents of Abbott Loop, Independence Park, and Campbell! I feel that this is the perfect time for me to step forward with the leadership and experience that I have gained while working for you in the Alaska State House of Representatives!

My family and I have lived in Anchorage for over 25 years. I feel that I have an intimate knowledge of the issues facing Anchorage and our state. I have been involved in numerous community organizations and I have worked with leaders from around the state on issues ranging from education and revenue sharing to public safety and infrastructure.

As a leader in the State House, I have earned a positive reputation as a consensus builder and a deliberative leader. As the Co-Chairman of the House Finance Committee for the past four years, I have successfully built capital budgets that focus on reducing local property taxes, public safety, community enhancement, infrastructure development, and above all, economic growth.

I feel that the most important issues facing our state are the economy and jobs, education, public safety, and fiscal responsibility. My experience in the private sector and my strong family values drives me to work on these important issues - to keep Alaska a place where we are proud to live, work, play, and raise a family.
