# Congratulations, Boeing

Over the past several years we've taken Boeing to task for various issues primarily associated with their new 787 Dreamliner. But today we're putting that aside for a day to simply say congratulations on the new bird's first flight. A remarkable accomplishment for a remarkable technology. Too few executives at too few companies have the guts these guys have to effectively risk the future of an entire company to try something radically new. There's a long ways to go, a lot to fix, and a lot of lessons learned, but this is a huge step. Although I've been on a plane at some point each week for the past two months (which also explains the scarcity of posts lately!), I'm looking forward to my first ride on a 787.
